A tailored microneedling approach for redness-prone skin in Fulham

If your skin often looks red or feels reactive, gentleness and timing matter most. SkyMedic has a redness-oriented peel and serum matched to a yellow Fotoage programme, but a red or irritated face is not automatically suitable. Georgina assesses your barrier first and may adapt or postpone the plan.

What it may help with

What this pathway may help with

An assessment-first pathway for suitable reactive skin, explored by what matters most to you. It is not a cure for rosacea, and it is only considered when the skin is stable enough.

A calmer-looking finish

Comfort-focused serum ingredients aim at a soothed, more comfortable look for suitable reactive skin.

Steady hydration

Reactive skin that unsettles easily benefits from steady hydration, for a more comfortable, hydrated finish.

The appointment, at a glance

Five stages, one considered sequence

Each stage prepares the next. A stage can be softened or left out on the day, because the plan is built around your skin rather than applied identically to everyone.

1

Assessment first

Georgina checks whether your barrier is calm and stable enough for any peel or needling that day.

2

A measured peel

A gentle peel may be used, or left out entirely, depending on how your skin looks that day.

3

Microneedling

Controlled micro-channels with one topical formulation, exosomes or PDRN, only when the skin is suitable.

4

The Redness serum

A calming, hydrating serum applied to prepared skin.

5

Matched yellow light

The yellow Fotoage programme runs for about fifteen minutes, matched to the serum stage.

The thinking behind it

What Georgina weighs up for your skin

What Georgina assesses

How long the redness has been present, what has changed recently, and whether the barrier is stable. Persistent or unexplained redness may need medical assessment instead.

How it is tailored

Exfoliation may be reduced or skipped, needling is used only on stable skin, and the plan is deferred during an active flare.

Recovery

Reactive skin may show brief warmth or redness. Gentle aftercare and daily SPF support the barrier afterwards.

The ingredients

Explore the peel, serum and matched light

Three stages, each with a different job. Choose a stage to see what is in it and why it is there for reactive, redness-prone skin. Open any ingredient for the detail, including where a benefit is well established and where it is a manufacturer proposal.

For reactive skin the peel is the most cautious stage of all. A gentle, carefully selected blend may be used, or left out entirely, depending on how your skin looks on the day. Its inclusion never means every sensitive client should have an acid peel; Georgina decides after assessing the barrier.

01Calming acids
Azelaic acidRedness-oriented acid

An acid associated with calmer, more even-looking skin, included in the Redness peel as part of its concern-specific design. Its inclusion does not mean every sensitive client should have an acid peel; Georgina decides on the day.

02Measured renewal
Mandelic acidSlow, gentle exfoliation

A larger-molecule alpha-hydroxy acid that exfoliates slowly and gently, chosen for measured, even renewal on skin that needs a careful approach, without over-exfoliating reactive skin.

03Gentle comfort
Lactic acidGentle renewal that holds water

A mild, naturally water-attracting alpha-hydroxy acid included as part of a carefully selected, gentle blend, for a comfortable, more even-looking surface where a peel is used at all. It is not a cure for redness or a guarantee that reactive skin will tolerate a peel.

Recovery and results

What to expect, stage by stage

Tap each stage to see what you may notice and what is realistic. Timings are a guide and vary between people.

1
What you may notice

Warmth or redness that can be a little more noticeable on reactive skin, usually for a short time.

What's happening biologically

The gentle treatment has triggered a mild repair response.

Realistic expectations

Calming aftercare and rest. If your skin is easily unsettled, keep the day quiet.

2
What you may notice

Skin gradually calms, sometimes over a few days rather than hours.

What's happening biologically

The surface settles as the barrier recovers.

Realistic expectations

Gentle products and daily SPF support the barrier this week.

3
What you may notice

A subtle, gradual improvement in how calm and comfortable skin looks and feels.

What's happening biologically

Barrier support builds slowly over the weeks after treatment.

Realistic expectations

Change is gradual and individual. It is not a cure for rosacea.

4
What you may notice

The clearest change usually follows a completed, carefully spaced course.

What's happening biologically

Gentle, repeated support helps steadier skin comfort over time.

Realistic expectations

Treatment is deferred during flares, and persistent redness may need medical assessment.

Is this right for me?

Suitability and honest expectations

This pathway is about the comfort and appearance of suitable reactive skin. It is not a cure for rosacea, eczema or dermatitis, and persistent or unexplained redness may need medical assessment. Results are gradual and individual.

Often a good fit
Reactive skin that is currently calm and stable enough to treat
A preference for a gentle, assessment-first approach
The comfort and appearance of reactive skin, built over a course
Honest limits
•It is not a cure for rosacea, eczema or dermatitis
•Treatment is adapted or deferred during an active flare
•Persistent or unexplained redness may need medical assessment

During an active flare, with broken skin, infection or substantial irritation, treatment is adapted or deferred. Persistent or unexplained redness may need medical assessment rather than a cosmetic pathway.

The only way to know if this pathway suits you is to have your skin looked at. That happens at your skin consultation, or as part of the assessment at the start of your advanced microneedling appointment.
