I chose Dermapen 4 because it gives me precise, reliable control over every treatment. Its needle cartridges are calibrated automatically by the pen. They are sterile and sealed. That matters to me as much as the results. It lets me tailor microneedling to your skin rather than fitting your skin to a set protocol.
Microneedling looks simple from the outside. It is not. The result depends on two things. The skill of the person holding the pen. And how precisely that pen does what it is set to do.
I wanted a device that gives me precise, consistent control, treatment after treatment. That is what I look for in every tool I use.
I chose Dermapen 4 for two reasons. Its credentials as a professional medical device. And my focus on achieving excellent results for every client.
Dermapen 4 is CE-marked. In the US, the DP4 microneedling device is FDA-cleared for one specific use: improving the appearance of facial acne scars in adults aged 22 and over with Fitzpatrick skin types I to V. That clearance does not cover every treatment or formulation I offer. It is one of the credentials that gave me confidence in the device.
Automatic calibration. Each Dermapen 4 cartridge has a built-in RFID chip. The pen uses it to calibrate the cartridge automatically. Automatic calibration supports precise, consistent needle operation.
Sterile and sealed. The needles are gamma-sterilised. Each cartridge has a silicone seal and a fluid guard designed to stop treatment fluids flowing back into the pen and to prevent cross-contamination.
I open a new sterile cartridge for every client.
Made for precise work. I can set the depth, speed and treatment settings at the press of a button. That lets me adapt each treatment as I go. The settings around the nose, eyes and jawline are not the same as on the neck, décolletage or body. They change with the area and with what I see in your skin.
I do not offer one microneedling treatment for everyone. Skin first. Treatment second.
Signature Dermapen 4 Microneedling focuses on the treatment itself. Your skin is cleansed and prepared. I microneedle at depths chosen for each area, using a Dermapen-specific glide serum during treatment. The treatment finishes with LED.
Advanced Signature Dermapen 4 Microneedling builds on this with additional preparation stages, a selected advanced formulation during microneedling and light therapy. Each stage is tailored to my assessment of your skin.
I choose between them at your consultation. I look at your skin concerns and at the current condition of your skin on the day. Neither treatment is right for everyone.
Both are priced by area: face, face and neck, or face, neck and décolletage. Body microneedling is quoted after consultation. See Dermapen 4 Microneedling in Fulham for full detail.
Not every concern suits microneedling. Not every skin is ready for it on the day. That is why I always start with a consultation.
Every new microneedling client starts here. I look at your skin, your history and your goals. Then I recommend a plan. Sometimes that plan is microneedling. Sometimes it is not.
Treatments take between 60 and 120 minutes depending on the treatment and area. I explain each stage as we go.
Your skin may look flushed afterwards. I talk you through aftercare before you leave. Many concerns respond best to a course. If yours does, we plan it together at your consultation.
Your Skin Consultation is 30 minutes and costs £50. If you go ahead with an eligible treatment or programme of £250 or more, the £50 is redeemed against it. The treatment must be booked within 14 days and attended within 30 days of your consultation. Full terms are on the consultation page.
On the booking page, select Skin Consultations, then Personalised Skin Consultation.
Skin Consultation termsA short look at a Dermapen 4 microneedling treatment in my Fulham studio, with a note on why it is done as a course.
Microneedling, or collagen induction therapy, works with your skin's own biology. Fine, sterile needles create precise micro channels into the upper dermis. Your skin then releases growth factors, and fibroblasts begin producing new collagen and elastin. But collagen isn't built overnight. It matures and reorganises over weeks to months. Spacing sessions weeks apart lets each treatment build on the collagen laid down by the last. This is why we recommend treating in a course.
